Hi all,
I have something very important to share with you. I wanted you to know that I have a new pattern listed in my Etsy shop. It’s The Super Cameron Tote. That may not seem like important news, so let me explain.
This is Cameron. Super Cameron. Cameron is my cousin’s son. He is 7 years old and was born with a life threatening heart defect. He is on the heart transplant list and is number one, next in line for a new heart.
While Cameron and his mom, dad and brother are waiting for his new heart, my family is raising money to help them when the time comes. Cameron’s family is going to need help with travel expenses as well as loss of income for his mom.
Among the fundraisers that my family is planning are a benefit dance and a huge garage sale. To publicize these events, the family walked in an Oktoberfest parade yesterday. They were outfitted in Super Cameron t-shirts, masks and a giant cape. I don’t live in the same town that they live in and can’t really participate in the fundraising efforts, but I’ve got a way that you and I can help.
I’ve designed a sewing pattern to help Cameron’s family. It’s called the Super Cameron Tote. It’s a simple tote bag with a flowing cape on the back and a few applique options for the front. I was thinking it would be a great bag for trick or treating, a library bag or a diaper bag. The Super Cameron Tote sewing pattern is available as an instant download in my Etsy shop. All of the profits from the sale of this pattern will go to Cameron and his family. So, we need to get the word out. We need to post and like and pin.
Now, if you are not in the market for a tote bag sewing pattern but would still like to help, you can visit Cameron’s YouCaring page and make a donation. You can also keep up with Cameron and his status on Cameron’s Hope Facebook page. Here’s a little story about Cameron and the cape that he is wearing in the picture above. Watch the video. It’s so sweet.
Thanks for listening and have a great week.
Cindy
