So, a few years ago, after being introduced to the wide, wide world of sewing blogs, I became familiar with the modern quilt fabric genre. I LOVED it. It’s not your granny’s fabric, you know. Well, one day I found some, bought it and couldn’t wait to use it. I bought three different prints with bits of red in each. I knew I wanted to make a bag, but couldn’t decide which fabric to put on the outside. I loved them all. So, I decided to make room for 3 fabrics on the outside. Thus, the Patchwork Tote.
The Patchwork Tote is the first pattern that I ever wrote. It’s perfect for a purse, library bag, diaper bag or travel tote!
This pattern includes all of the instructions for making the Patchwork Tote. There are also loads of photos to illustrate the steps.
Bag dimensions are approximately 11″ tall x 10″ wide x 5″ deep and it has 6 interior pockets.
Materials needed:
3/4 yard each of three different fabrics. This is a high estimate. I want you to have enough, especially the fabric used for the straps.
1/2 yard of fusible fleece
a little heavy weight interfacing for the straps
You can find the PDF pattern in my Etsy Shop.
